I. Motion to approve of April 14, 2021 Minutes (Smith/Sellers). Motion Passed.

II. Motion to approve Financial Report (Smith/Rutledge). Motion Passed.

III. Staff Program Reports
1. Howard Harrison gave the NRCS program update.
2. Audrey Kuipers gave the OSWCD program update.
3. FDACS- The Board would like to know how many Okeechobee producers/landowners
are not enrollment yet.
4. FSA- no report

IV. Unfinished Business-NONE

V. New Business
1. UF/IFAS Extension Okeechobee Soil Testing Grant reqeust- Audrey Kuipers gave the
Board an update on a proposal from the County Extension Director-Livestock Agent,
Lauren Butler. The Board would like for Ms. Butler to attend next month’s meeting.

Compliance Officer

Okeechobee Soil and Water Conservation District has designated a compliance officer for website disability-related accommodations. The compliance officer has received training in website accessibility and updates the site in accordance with those best practices. Contact our accessibility officer to report an issue.

In addition to testing with users with a wide range of disabilities and coding our website to WCAG standards, Okeechobee Soil and Water Conservation District regularly scans its website to ensure ongoing compliance, and makes timely changes to any inaccessible changes, if any are found.
